Senior lecturers (tenured associate professors) and professors have the dual role of developing fundamental and applied research while passing on the resulting knowledge to students.
Competitive Examinations
Every year, we recruit senior lecturers and professors through competitive examinations, either as part of the campaign run by the Ministry of Higher Education and Research (session synchronisée), or of UGA's own campaign (fil de l'eau).
Through tenure-track junior professor positions (chaires de professeur junior, CPJ), successful candidates can be awarded tenure as professors or research directors.
